About Miss Plus Size

Miss Plus size Global was launched in Beijing China April 2015 and runs every year. It is a competition where plus size women and their admirers can come together to celebrate the beauty of size in a non judgmental environment and most importantly, show that they are comfortable in their own skin and not intimidated by the continuous pressure from the media to fit into a certain size label to be deemed acceptable in society.

Larger women are often rejected by other beauty pageants and we are here to change the perception of the world; which is that you can only be beautiful if you are slim. We need to let the world know that it is possible to be plus size, intelligent, and beautiful.

We at Miss Plus Size Global do not encourage or promote obesity, we purely provide a platform for the plus size women of the world to showcase their beauty on the catwalk that has previously been reserved for our slimmer sisters!

The Pageant is broken down into 4 categories

Fashion Casual Wear - 25% Contestants have to wear something that expresses who they are as a normal plus size. This will be judged on confidence, poise, modeling ability and stage presence.

Fashion Pant Wear-25%: All delegates must carry themselves with dignity, poise and sophistication. Judges will be evaluating how well her choice of apparel suits her (such as fit, color, and style) as well as her on-stage presentation. Fashion Pant Wear Details: Attire should be dressy. This should be a pants suit or pants and blouse that one would wear to a cocktail party. It should be in good taste and not provocative or too tight. No dresses, please.Judging Criteria: Modeling ability, personality, grooming, and poise.

Evening Gown - 25% They will wear something that expresses their style and is age-appropriate. Low cut dresses should not be worn. In the same respect, high cut dresses and low-back dresses should be considered inappropriate. Gowns must be floor-length. Evening Gown will be judged on poise, stage-presence, modeling ability and grace.

Talent: This is a competition separate unto itself it will not affect your score of other things. Talent may consist of singing, dancing, poetry reading, sign language, etc. This competition is judged on stage presence, originality and difficulty of routine. Props are allowed. Talent acts must not exceed 3 minutes. No fire acts, allowed. Each delegate will provide a CD of their own music for performance.

On stage final question- Top Finalist. The question may be concerning current events and it will count for (25%) of the finals night score.
